ABOUT FETHIYE
Fethiye is often shown online as a quiet paradise of turquoise bays, empty beaches, and peaceful Mediterranean mornings. And while those moments are very real here, they are only one side of the region.
In reality, Fethiye is a large and diverse area with busy summer traffic, lively resorts, beach clubs, all-inclusive hotels, boutique stays, camping sites, mountain villages, apartments, villas, and popular beaches that can become very crowded during the season.
It’s very important to understand how to experience the region well — knowing where to go, when to go, how areas feel different from each other, and how to move through the coastline in a way that matches the kind of trip you want to have.
Fethiye is not a destination where you stay in one hotel and walk everywhere. The region is spread between mountains, villages, bays, beaches, and coastal towns, so exploring usually involves driving mountain roads, taking taxis or buses, or spending time on the sea.
The high season runs from May to October, although the area remains active throughout the year.
One of the most special parts of the region is the famous Lycian Way — a breathtaking hiking trail passing through all the way to Antalya. Hiking is most enjoyable between autumn and spring, as summer temperatures can become extremely hot.
Fethiye can feel wild, peaceful, luxurious, traditional, adventurous, crowded, or completely quiet — sometimes all within the same day.
My goal is to help you experience the heart of the region in the best possible way.
